How to use Epitaz 10 MG Injection by Intas?
Epitaz 10 mg should be only administered by a healthcare professional who is familiar with chemotherapy medicines to treat cancer. Doctor's supervision in a hospital or in a place where sterile equipment are available for preparation is preferred. Do not self-administer Epitaz 10 mg injection.
Side Effects
As with all medications some people experience certain side effects. Inform your doctor immediately if you have any of the effects below
- vomiting
- absence of menstrual cycle (amenorrhoea)
- alopecia
- cardiotoxicity
- lethargy
- anorexia
- fever
- rash
- hyperpyrexia
- skin changes
- mucositis
- nausea
- skin and nail hyperpigmentation
- Myelosuppression
- Hot flushes
Interactions
Epitaz 10 MG interacts with the following medicines
- Paclitaxel and other anthracyclines
- Antineoplastic drugs
- Heparin
- Cimetidine
- Cardiotoxic drugs
- hepatoactive drugs
- radiation
Precaution
Disclose all the prescription medicines, over the counter medicine, herbal preparations, supplements, Vitamins and any other medicine that you are taking to your doctor prior to your treatment.
Do not take asprin or products containing asprin unless the doctor advises to do so.
Alcohol consumption while taking Epitaz 10 mg injection may cause liver damage.
Epitaz 10 mg injection should not be used on pregnant women as it may cause fetal damage. Discuss with your doctor the risks and benefits involved prior to starting your treatment.
Epitaz 10mg injection is not recommended for nursing mothers as it may be passed on to the baby. Discuss with your doctor to make a decision either to continue the medication or to continue feeding.
You may be more sensitive to light so adequate precautions required.
While you are on Epitaz 10 mg injection, do not take any immunizations or vaccinations at all without the approval of your doctor.
Exercise caution when prescribing Epitaz 10 mg injection to patients with liver disease. A dose adjustment may be required.
Do not drive or operate machinery unless you feel very well.
Use barrier methods of contraception (both men and women). Discuss with your doctor when is safe to conceive.
